A vision of service

TWENTY FOR TWENTY

A future informed by 20 years of momentum

When the Clinton School of Public Service at the University of Arkansas was established in 2004, President Bill Clinton articulated a vision for a distinctive – and distinctly relevant – graduate preparation.

The Master of Public Service degree program was designed intentionally to prepare graduates for work across disciplinary, racial, ethnic, and geographical boundaries. Alumni are the embodiment of President Clinton’s legacy: nimble advocates, passionate about change, and people of character and integrity.

Today, nearly 20 years later, the School’s leaders see ample evidence this approach delivers outcomes the world needs – and in this increasingly polarized era, we anticipate demand for this unique learning experience will increase.

These first two decades of the Clinton School’s operations have shown us what it can become: a globally known and respected proving ground and launching pad for courageous and entrepreneurial leaders intent on creating lasting change in their communities.

Together, we can leverage 20 years of momentum and learning – honoring President Clinton’s legacy for the long term, securing the school’s enduring strength, and ensuring emerging leaders from all backgrounds are able to participate in this distinctive learning experience. Scholarships, designed to yield learning cohorts that are meaningfully diverse in myriad ways, are our primary tool.

President Clinton Headshot

We are embarking on a most exciting of missions at a crucial time in human history-to help tomorrow’s leaders better understand the importance of citizen service, cooperation, and globalism by participating in a program that provides real-world experiences with real-world outcomes.

– William J. Clinton

42nd President of the United States, 2006

TWENTY FOR TWENTY

A letter from the dean

Serving as dean of the Clinton School is my dream job – this institution lives at the intersection of education and service.

I knew that the school rested on a strong foundation. Now, it’s my job to ensure the school’s remarkable potential is supported and its impact amplified. Growing and diversifying the enrollment at the Clinton School while maintaining the quality of applicants – through robust scholarship support – is my focus.

We are committed to raising $20 million in scholarship funds to mark and honor this 20 year milestone. Join us in realizing this goal via Twenty for Twenty: The Public Service Scholarship Campaign.
